Vodacom gives local brands a life-time opportunity
Vodacom Lesotho is a member of Vodafone’s Africa family, a group of telecommunications operator in various states of Africa. Partially local owned and it provides leading telecommunications solutions through extensive investment in latest infrastructure and human capital. It has been operating in Lesotho for over 2 decades now since 1996 and due to its understanding of domestic market, it has introduced a competition called ‘Local Brands & Threads’ to Basotho entrepreneurs who design and tailor clothes locally.
The aim of the competition is to be to help local brands find ways to take their businesses to the next level and to shape them up for this digital era. It is over 60 registrations that were received and over 30 registrations met all the requirements of the competition which was the first phase and closed on the 22 October. The second phase is whereby people are allowed to vote for their favorite brand in the competition through Facebook and twitter. The voting poll will be opened until Friday the 20 November 2020 at 23:59:59 hrs.
The trimming of registrations will continue until the top 10 finalists who will stand a chance to win M200 000 in cash prizes as well as 20GB business internet for 24 months. To vote, one has to like/react to the image with their preferred local clothing brand in one of the 3 sets of posts which are found on official page of Vodacom Lesotho
